About the Role The Lead Data Analyst will be a key member of our Business Operations team, which serves as the glue that connects all parts of the business. This team has visibility and input into all aspects of the organization, from engineering and product to design, operations, and support. Key Responsibilities Develop and lead the team's reporting plan and data strategy, partnering with analysts to build tooling and communicate with stakeholders across the Disney universe. Drive the use of analytics as a key value driver across the organization, working closely with cross-functional partners to understand business performance and identify areas for improvement. Lead the creation of meaningful and consistent metrics and reporting across streaming platforms, ensuring that stakeholders have access to timely and actionable insights. Collaborate with our Management team to define and standardize the metrics by which we evaluate product performance, creating a single source of truth for the organization. Design and develop ETLs, mediator tables, and performant dashboards, working closely with Data Engineering and Design teams to ensure seamless data flow and visualization. Partner intimately with business stakeholders to understand their needs and drive decision-making, as well as with other data teams to improve platform capabilities around data modeling, testing platforms, data visualization, and data architecture. Essential Qualifications A Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, Economics, Math, or a related field. Proficiency in creating data analysis and data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, Chartio, etc. 7+ years of analytical experience, ideally explicitly in analysis engineering. Mastery of SQL, with some experience in SparkSQL, Hive, etc. an plus. Significant experience with OLAP databases like Snowflake or Redshift. Experience creating and maintaining optimized tables for reporting through ETLs. Project and resource management expertise, including setting objectives, timelines, and prioritizing work across multiple stakeholders. Python/R or other statistical programming languages. Extreme drive and passion for delivering outstanding products. Strong interpersonal skills, as well as written and verbal presentation skills and experience presenting to diverse audiences. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $136,100 to $182,400 per year, and in New York, NY is $142,600 to $191,100 per year. The base salary actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic location, work-related experience, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, subject to the level and position offered.
