We're seeking a talented and experienced Java Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our distributed, near real-time, low-latency systems that process transactions worldwide. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain core features and functions of card transaction systems on a distributed platform deployed in the cloud. Actively participate in agile teams, embracing the latest development practices, including writing code, unit tests, working with API specs, and automation. Utilize Java technologies such as Vertx, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful microservices, Ignite, In-Memory Computing, Spark, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Kafka, and Yellowbrick to drive innovation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to interpret technical and business objectives, identify challenges, and develop eloquent solutions. Debug basic software components, identify code defects, and contribute to remediation efforts. Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends, investigating new domains and questioning the status quo to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications and Requirements Essential Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience with Java technologies. Hands-on experience with application design, software development, and automated testing. Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, relational or NoSQL databases. Proficient oral and written communication skills. Experience working in Agile or other rapid application development methodologies. Preferred Qualifications Experience with Apache Ignite. Knowledge of RESTful APIs. Familiarity with cloud-based deployments. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside the box.
