About the Role We are looking for an IT Apprentice who is passionate about technology and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced IT environment. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge in networking (CCNA preferred) and experience or coursework in asset management. This apprenticeship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop essential skills in technical assistance, network support, asset management, and learning and development. Key Responsibilities Technical Assistance: Provide first-line support for IT-related issues, including hardware and software troubleshooting. Assist in resolving user queries and ensure timely escalation of complex issues. Network Support: Assist in the setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of network devices. Support network monitoring and maintenance activities. Participate in implementing network security measures. Asset Management: Help maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets (hardware and software). Assist in documenting asset management processes. Support the lifecycle management of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, and retirement. Learning and Development: Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills and knowledge. Collaborate with team members on projects to gain practical experience. Essential Qualifications Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Technical Skills: Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (CCNA certification preferred). Familiarity with asset management practices and tools. Basic understanding of Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems and common applications. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in an IT role or related field. Familiarity with IT service management frameworks and tools. Basic programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
