About the Role: Intervention Specialist We are looking for an experienced Intervention Specialist who is not only passionate about special education but also committed to delivering high-quality educational services. As an Intervention Specialist with VocoVision, you will have the unique opportunity to work with students in grades K-8, focusing on SDI minutes with Math & Literacy goals. Your role will involve working one-on-one or in small groups with assigned students, providing personalized support and interventions tailored to their specific needs. Key Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction to students in grades K-8, focusing on Math and Literacy skills. Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and intervention strategies to meet the diverse needs of students. Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to evaluate student performance and adjust instructional strategies as needed. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment. Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress, interventions, and communications with parents and educators. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in special education. Essential Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications: A minimum of 2 years of previous experience in a school setting, preferably in special education. Necessary state credentials for Ohio, ensuring you are fully qualified to work as an Intervention Specialist in the state. The ability to pass a tech screening, demonstrating your proficiency in using digital tools and platforms for education. A strong understanding of special education principles, practices, and regulations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, and educators. Preferred Qualifications: While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Advanced degrees or certifications in special education or a related field. Experience with intervention strategies and technologies that support students with diverse learning needs. Familiarity with Ohio's education system and special education policies. Proficiency in more than one language, reflecting the diversity of our student population.
