As a member of our team, you will be part of a dynamic and supportive environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion. **Job Summary** As an Insurance Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling property and casualty (P&C) related customer service and/or billing inquiries and problems via the telephone. You will provide customers with plan coverage information, quotes, policy changes, and policy change impacts to premium, while also identifying opportunities to apply discounts and process insurance verification forms for insured. Your expertise in the insurance industry and club insurance agency policies and procedures will enable you to provide efficient and professional customer service, while also recognizing cross-sell opportunities and obtaining quote information. **Key Responsibilities** * Contact policyholders from the agencies existing book of business through inbound/outbound telephone calls, direct mail, and email to review policies prior to renewal * Review and update policy to enhance retention and better meet the needs of the consumer * Counsel the policyholder concerning appropriate coverage, policy limits, payment options, and state laws that will best meet their needs for sufficient protection against risks covered by Property and Casualty insurance * Make appropriate recommendations and/or changes to the policy and gain policyholder acceptance to process the changes * Receive and respond to calls and emails received by the insurance service center documenting all activity (changes to policy, coverage options, recommendations, and cross-selling) in EPIC * Utilize knowledge of insurance industry and club insurance agency policies and procedures to provide efficient and professional customer service * Provide quotes on endorsements as requested * Identify opportunities to apply discounts, process insurance verification forms for insured, and act as liaison for information exchange between customer and insurance companies * Process changes to policies within EPIC as well as submit changes to specific companies * Follow up with company to ensure change requests have been processed in a timely manner * Review policy information and references company specific claims procedures to assist insured in filing claims * Mail insured documentation to be signed and returned as necessary * Follow up to ensure documentation has been returned in a timely manner from member/customer * Recognize cross-sell opportunities (membership and insurance) and obtain quote information **What We Can Offer You** * A competitive hourly rate, depending on experience and salary zone * Eligible for Annual Merit Increase * Comprehensive Health benefits package, including: + Paid Time Off (accruals begin on first day of employment) + 401(k) plan with a company match + Medical, Dental, Prescription, and Vision Coverage + Tuition Reimbursement + Life Insurance + Flexible Spending Accounts * Nearly 4 weeks of paid time off accrued during the first year * Paid time off to volunteer * Tuition reimbursement * 401(K) plan with company match up to 7% * Free AAA Premier Battery Membership **What We Need from You** * High school diploma or equivalent and 3+ years of increasingly complex customer service experience in an insurance environment * Property and Casualty insurance license required * Membership license preferred and/or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment **Work Schedule** * Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST with rotating Saturdays with team * Saturday hours would be 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. **Why Join blithequark?** At blithequark, we are committed to cultivating a welcoming and inclusive workplace of team members with diverse backgrounds and experiences.
