Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Facilities Technician to join our team in Farmer's Branch, TX. As a Facilities Technician, you will play a critical role in maintaining the upkeep of our facilities, ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment, and contributing to the overall success of our organization. This is a hybrid role that offers the flexibility to balance your time between our remote office and home, providing you with the autonomy to work in a setting that suits you best. Key Responsibilities Perform general upkeep of facilities, including drywall repair, carpentry, and painting Work with 3-phase power, HVAC systems, chiller systems, compressors, and installation of new equipment and power requirements Prepare the plant for freezing weather, ensuring walk areas are deiced and chiller systems are prepped for cold weather Complete daily inspections and filter changes for air compressors and dryers, as well as boiler maintenance and PMs, including blow downs and water samples Responsible for boneyard 5S, general grounds keeping, plumbing repairs, concrete repairs, and ballast installations Assist in running conduit, black pipe, and chiller lines Assist the plant electrician in tasks as needed Improve and sustain 5S, Lean, and Kaizen programs Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: 3 years of related experience in facilities and/or maintenance with strong knowledge of HVAC systems Licensed electrician preferred Strong computer experience, including Microsoft Office and CMMS systems Ability to accurately close out work orders daily Comfortable standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and using hands, lifting and/or moving 10 lbs regularly and up to 33 lbs occasionally Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience with 3-phase power and electrical systems Knowledge of plumbing and carpentry Familiarity with Lean and Kaizen principles Experience with CMMS systems and work order management Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess: Technical skills : Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, and plumbing Problem-solving skills : Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently Communication skills : Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with colleagues and management Time management skills : Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines Teamwork skills : Willingness to work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve common goals Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Stanley Black & Decker, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
