About the Role We are looking for a highly motivated and organized Human Resources Generalist to join our team. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for a wide range of HR-related tasks, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance. You will work closely with our HR team to ensure that our employees have the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their roles. Key Responsibilities • Make an inviting experience by genuinely welcoming all visitors • Engage with visitors in a genuine way, which includes asking questions to better understand their specific needs • Be knowledgeable about the tools, products, and services available in the store, and be able to explain them to visitors • Thank visitors in a genuine manner and let them know we're glad they decided to shop at Target • Know the store sales objectives and patterns with visitors and the team that are influencing and driving business results • Work with your HR manager to anticipate and address specific skill and staffing needs for every area of the business • Execute deliberate hiring efforts to assist in placing leaders in finding and recruiting talent with the right skills and experiences to best serve their visitors • Support the training needs of your store's sales team and be an advocate for continuous learning • Be a subject matter expert for scheduling systems and pay practices • Act as a door by listening to colleagues and collaborating with the right leaders to take action on a case-by-case basis • Follow through on all HR functional and recurring programs • Exhibit a culture of moral leadership, safety, and compliance • Work in a safe manner consistently to help yourself and others; identify and address risks; follow all safety protocols and best practices • Any other duties as required by business needs What We Are Looking For We may be an excellent match if: • Working in a fun and energetic environment makes you excited • Offering support to our visitors that makes them say "I LOVE TARGET!" invigorates you • Loading, setting, and selling objective items seems like your thing • You're not looking for Monday through Friday work where you're at a computer all day Requirements We are looking for a candidate with the following skills and qualifications: • An inviting and supportive demeanor towards visitors and other colleagues • The ability to learn and adapt to current technology needs • Successful interpersonal skills • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team • The ability to resolve visitor questions quickly on the spot • Tender loving care and the ability to follow multi-step processes Preferred Qualifications We are a great work environment and care about our teams, so we want to ensure we are clear about a few additional nuts and bolts that we anticipate: • The ability to precisely handle sales register operations • The ability to output, handle, and move stock proficiently and securely, including frequently lifting or moving product up to 15 pounds and periodically lifting or moving product up to 40 pounds • An adaptable schedule for work (e.g., evenings, weekends, and holidays) and normal attendance is required • Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) What We Offer Target will provide reasonable accommodations (such as a certified communication through signing translator or other individual assistance) with the application process upon your request as required to comply with relevant regulations.
