Key Responsibilities Teach English Language Arts: Plan and deliver high-quality lessons to high school students in a remote setting, focusing on reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills. Develop Curriculum: Develop and implement curriculum that meets the needs of students and aligns with state and national standards. Assess Student Progress: Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents on a regular basis. Essential Qualifications Valid Teaching License: Valid Mississippi teaching license with a Secondary English 7th-12th (119) endorsement. Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Education, or related field. Teaching Experience: At least 2 years of teaching experience in a high school setting. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Technical Skills: Familiarity with educational technology and digital tools. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree: Master's degree in English, Education, or related field. Additional Endorsements: Additional endorsements in English as a Second Language (ESL) or Special Education. Experience with Online Learning: Experience with online learning platforms and digital tools. Skills and Competencies Content Knowledge: Strong knowledge of English language arts, including literature, grammar, and composition. Pedagogical Skills: Effective pedagogical skills, including lesson planning, classroom management, and assessment. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Flexibility: Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced and dynamic educational environment.
