As a Lead Data Science Consultant within our Customer Excellence Data and Analytics (CEDA) organization, you'll play a pivotal role in driving business decisions through data-driven insights. About the Role We're seeking an experienced Lead Data Science Consultant to lead complex data science initiatives, develop predictive models, and deliver actionable insights that drive business strategies. As a key member of our CEDA team, you'll collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify performance issues and opportunities, build and validate models, and communicate findings to non-technical audiences. Key Responsibilities: Lead complex data science initiatives using advanced analytical techniques, algorithms, and models to drive business decisions. Build and deliver recommendations in complex situations requiring expertise in analytical thinking and technical skills. Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and senior managers to drive strategies based on data-driven insights and trends. Execute complex analytical experiments and create innovative statistical models to solve abstract business problems. Interpret and analyze data using advanced analytics modeling methods and programming to recommend solutions and influence business decisions. Provide consultation to peers on data science best practices, methods, and tools. Communicate actionable insights and recommendations using data in a digestible format to non-technical audiences. Requirements and Qualifications Essential Qualifications: 5+ years of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education. Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science. Preferred Qualifications: Fluency in SAS, Python, SQL (Teradata). Deep experience with Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP). Large Language Model (LLM) experience. Extensive model development and model validation experience, including end-to-end model build efforts from discovery to deployment. Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate complex material to diverse audiences. Adept at designing/performing model testing, including explainability, robustness, fairness testing, etc. Proficient in creating accompanying documentation in the model development process.
