**Position Overview**

As a Heart Health Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately entering and updating patient data related to cardiovascular care. This role requires proficiency in data entry, medical terminology, and an understanding of the importance of maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. You will work closely with our cardiology team to ensure the timely entry and retrieval of patient data as needed for care coordination.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Accurately enter and update patient data related to heart health, including medical histories, diagnostic results, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
* Maintain and update the electronic health records (EHR) system to ensure all cardiovascular-related information is accurate and up-to-date.
* Process and verify patient information for cardiology appointments, procedures, and tests.
* Assist in the preparation and organization of patient files for clinical visits and cardiovascular procedures.
* Collaborate with cardiology staff to ensure the timely entry and retrieval of patient data as needed for care coordination.
* Review and audit patient data to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and company standards.
* Ensure all data is entered in accordance with HIPAA privacy guidelines and confidentiality standards.
* Support the cardiology team with administrative tasks, including patient scheduling and medical billing data entry.
* Troubleshoot and resolve discrepancies or data entry issues in a timely manner.
* Assist with the generation of reports and data analytics for cardiovascular health outcomes and patient care metrics.
* Maintain a high level of professionalism and attention to detail while interacting with staff, patients, and other departments.

**Essential Qualifications**

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or relevant certifications in healthcare administration or medical billing preferred.
* Previous experience in data entry or healthcare administration is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with cardiovascular terminology and medical records is a plus.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with Electronic Health Record (EHR) software.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
