We're looking for skilled Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Medical Assistants (MAs), and Certified Athletic Trainers to join our team at various locations in Virginia, including Charlottesville, Afton, Harrisonburg, and Ruckersville.

Available Positions

Registered Nurse (RN) - Charlottesville, VA

We're seeking an experienced RN to join our team at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital. As an RN, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care and working collaboratively with our healthcare team to achieve outstanding outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform a competent level of nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Demonstrate expertise in the standards of practice and professional performance, including ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, and evidence-based practice.
Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Provide patient education and health promotion, empowering patients to take an active role in their care.


Requirements:

2-year RN associate's degree, 3-year RN diploma, BSN, MSN, or RN doctorate level degree required.
Virginia or multi-state RN licensure required.
Gastroenterology experience preferred.


Certified Medical Assistant - Afton, Charlottesville, Harrisonburg, and Ruckersville, VA

We're looking for skilled Certified Medical Assistants to join our team in various doctor's office settings. As a Medical Assistant with Sentara, you'll work directly with physicians, conducting phlebotomy, clinical, and clerical duties to ensure seamless patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for examination and treatment, taking vitals and verifying patient information.
Assist physicians with clinical procedures, including phlebotomy and lab testing.
Perform administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure exceptional patient care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, using electronic medical records systems.


Requirements:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Certified EMT (EMT-B or AEMT) required.
Phlebotomy experience preferred.
Experience with electronic medical records preferred.


Athletic Trainer - Harrisonburg, VA

We're seeking a talented Certified Athletic Trainer to join our team at Sentara Rockingham Memorial Hospital Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. As an Athletic Trainer, you'll work with various athletic teams at James Madison University, providing expert care and support to student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

Document patient/athlete response to treatment and progress towards goals.
Perform therapeutic interventions, using accepted standards of care and department policies.
Provide effective instruction to patients/athletes and families, using standardized educational programs and individualized training.
Assist the department in achieving financial goals, while maintaining a focus on patient-centered care.


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or Physical Therapy required.
Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification from the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer (BOC) required.
State license required in the state of practice.
