Key Responsibilities
Lead high-energy AKT workouts that adhere to our signature standards and protocols
Instruct clients using proper form, safe methods, and modifications to ensure a safe and effective workout experience
Conduct private, semi-private, demo, or additional sessions as needed to support client goals and studio growth
Maintain a clean and orderly workout environment and assist with class setup to ensure a seamless experience for clients
Promote retail, studio events, and classes to support studio growth and build a loyal client base
Engage with clients to understand their goals and introduce them to our membership sales and services, fostering a culture of customer service and support
Attend staff meetings and required educational presentations to stay up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices
Assist front desk and General Manager with studio tours, check-ins, and sales as needed to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment
Maintain a strong, professional social media presence to increase class following and promote the AKT brand
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To succeed as an AKT Group Fitness Trainer and Dancer, you will need:
Experience teaching group classes and demonstrating effective group class instruction
A charismatic, tenacious, positive, and motivational teaching style that inspires and motivates clients
Punctuality, reliability, and dedication to delivering high-quality classes and services
Professional, effective, and empathetic communication skills, with a focus on customer service and client support
Fitness certification (preferred) and current (or willingness to obtain) valid CPR/AED certification
A professional dance resume (highly recommended) that showcases your experience and expertise in dance and fitness
Skills and Competencies Required for Success
To excel in this role, you will need to possess:
Expertise in at least one of the following: HIIT and strength interval training, dance, barre/toning, and Pilates methods
The ability to efficiently explain and demonstrate exercises, provide modifications and progressions, and physically lead clients through high-intensity classes
A positive, team-player attitude that can inspire and motivate clients and colleagues alike
