Key Responsibilities Teach group exercise classes, specifically Power and strength training classes, to highly motivated members Arrive early to class to meet and greet participants, identify first-time visitors, and address any questions or concerns Closely monitor the safety and exertion levels of all participants to ensure optimal enjoyment and success Follow choreography and keep time to music while inspiring and motivating members Utilize adjustable barbells, weight plates, and body weight to provide a comprehensive strength training workout Maintain a positive and engaging class atmosphere, promoting a fun and challenging experience for all participants Be flexible with scheduling, as part-time hours may vary based on center needs and member usage Consider subbing opportunities to further develop your teaching skills and expand your schedule Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you should have: Certification in group fitness instruction, preferably MOSSA or Les Mills certified Experience in teaching group exercise classes, particularly Power or Body Pump classes Strong knowledge of exercise science and safety guidelines Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to motivate and inspire others to reach their fitness goals Flexibility and adaptability in scheduling and teaching styles Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience working in a fitness center or gym environment Additional certifications in specialized areas, such as personal training or specialized fitness programs Knowledge of current fitness trends and industry developments Experience with choreography and music timing Skills and Competencies To succeed as a Group Fitness Instructor at Healthtrax, you should possess: Strong leadership and motivational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with diverse populations and fitness levels Knowledge of exercise science and safety guidelines Flexibility and adaptability in teaching styles and scheduling Passion for fitness and helping others achieve their goals Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Healthtrax, we're committed to supporting the ongoing education and development of our employees.
