We're now seeking an experienced Google Cloud Architect to lead the architecture and implementation of complex projects, drive key customer solutions, and design modern architectures on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As a Google Cloud Architect at Egen, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our technical landscape and delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities


Develop and Communicate Robust Architecture Principles: Align architecture principles with business objectives and industry best practices, ensuring that our technical solutions drive business success.
Establish and Enforce Architectural Standards: Ensure consistency, scalability, and maintainability across all data and AI solutions by setting and enforcing architectural standards.
Drive Innovation in Data and AI Solutions: Design and implement cutting-edge data and AI solutions and accelerators that enhance our technical capabilities and drive client success.
Stay Ahead of Emerging Technologies and Trends: Continuously update your knowledge of emerging technologies and trends, advocating for innovative solutions that enhance our technical landscape.
Mentor and Guide Future Architects: Provide guidance and mentorship to foster career growth and skill development for future architects, creating a supportive and collaborative environment.
Oversee End-to-End Delivery: Ensure that data and AI solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards, overseeing the end-to-end delivery process.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with software developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals, addressing architectural challenges and optimizing system performance.
Communicate Complex Technical Concepts: Clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring that everyone is aligned and informed.
Mitigate Architectural Risks: Identify and mitigate architectural risks associated with key and complex engagements, ensuring that our solutions are robust and reliable.
Ensure Compliance with Data Governance and Security: Ensure that all architectural decisions comply with data governance, security, and privacy regulations, maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and security.
Support Pre-Sales Teams: Assist pre-sales teams with architectural strategy and review for new opportunities, leveraging your expertise to drive business growth.


Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To succeed as a Google Cloud Architect at Egen, you'll need:


10+ Years of Experience as a Cloud Architect: A strong background in cloud architecture, with a preference for experience with Google Cloud.
Experience with Microservices and Event-Driven Architectures: Proven experience with microservices and event-driven architectures in both applications and data platforms.
Technical Communication Skills: The ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical customers, partners, and stakeholders.
In-Depth Knowledge of Security and Networking in GCP: A deep understanding of security and networking in GCP, including IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
Cloud-Native Technologies: Experience articulating, architecting, and implementing cloud-native technologies on the Google Cloud Platform, such as Cloud Storage, GKE, BigQuery, Cloud Run, and Pub/Sub.
Infrastructure Automation: Experience with infrastructure automation through Terraform.
Software Development Lifecycle and Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile/iterative methodologies.
CI/CD Frameworks and GitOps: Experience with CI/CD frameworks, including an understanding of GitOps approaches.
