About Global Technology Services (GTS) As a key member of our Global Technology Services (GTS) team, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our technology strategy forward. GTS is Aegon's global IT partner, providing critical infrastructure services, information security, and global/corporate application support to Aegon's businesses worldwide. From six locations across the US, Netherlands, UK, and Hungary, we support over 20 country units and 24,000 employees globally. Our centralized global IT services encompass a broad range of expertise, including programming, database management, project management, agile/dev/ops, and more. Job Summary: Global Architect We're seeking an experienced Global Architect to join our team on a remote basis. As a Global Architect, you'll be responsible for providing solution architecture for our global development and engineering teams, ensuring that our solution designs are adaptable, secure, and cohesive to facilitate our strategic business goals. You'll work closely with our global IT community, providing technical leadership and hands-on knowledge of existing and emerging technologies. Key Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership within the Global IT community, driving the adoption of emerging technologies and ensuring alignment with our global enterprise architecture guidance, principles, and frameworks. Design, maintain, and use global solutions architecture patterns to drive consistency and efficiency across our technology landscape. Operate in a matrix management model, collaborating with Global IT Architects in the design phase of strategic programs involving numerous senior-level staff. Define technical standards globally, working closely with country units to incorporate local views and requirements. Take ownership of detailed solution architecture artifacts, consulting with project teams to ensure alignment with our architecture and modifying solution architecture as needed to accommodate project requirements. Promote solution architecture, its processes, outcomes, and ongoing results to the organization, driving awareness and adoption across the business. Stay current with developments in cloud, data, and security technologies, applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our technology strategy. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent training/experience. Experience in IT architecture, including experience in solutions architecture. Experience in the technical delivery of digital projects using the latest technologies. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), other cloud service providers, private cloud, and hybrid solutions. Skills and Competencies: To succeed in this role, you'll need to possess a strong technical background, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively in a matrix management model. You'll need to be adaptable, with a willingness to learn and evolve as our technology landscape continues to evolve. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits We offer a comprehensive compensation package, including: A competitive salary range of $133,600 - $183,700 annually. Annual bonus opportunities based on individual and company performance. Paid time off starting at 160 hours annually, plus 10 paid holidays per year.
