Key Responsibilities
Perform general accounting duties related to month-end processes, including financial statement preparation and analysis
Implement and maintain proper keeping of financial records, utilizing current technologies such as NetSuite ERP system
Input daily transaction information in NetSuite, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
Assist with billing and customer invoicing, ensuring timely and accurate payment processing
Perform tasks within the parameters of current processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements
Collaborate with our team of CPAs and accounting professionals to gain exposure to Mergers & Acquisitions and other complex accounting transactions
Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports to support business decision-making
Provide excellent oral and written communication skills, including status updates on work with deadlines and presentations to management
Essential Qualifications
Junior or Senior year in Accounting program with high academic performance (GPA 3.0 or higher)
Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles, applications, and methods, including financial statement preparation and analysis
Strong analytical skills and ability to prepare reports, including financial modeling and forecasting
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
Attention to detail and self-starter attitude with tenacity and drive, including the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to provide status updates on work with deadlines and presentations to management
Preferred Qualifications
Completed related internship or co-op experience in accounting or a related field
Experience with accounting ERP systems, including NetSuite (or similar systems such as QuickBooks or SAP)
Knowledge of financial analysis and planning, including budgeting and forecasting
Experience with data analysis and visualization tools, including Excel, Tableau, or Power BI
Certifications such as CPA, CMA, or CFA (or in progress)
