Responsibilities As a Caregiver / Direct Support Professional with ResCare Community Living, you will play a critical role in helping us provide compassionate care to our clients. Here are some of the key responsibilities of this role: * **Performing Personal Care Tasks**: You will be responsible for performing personal care tasks, including feeding, ambulation, and medical monitoring. * **Fostering Positive Relationships**: You will assist with fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their housemates. * **Ensuring Client Safety**: You will be responsible for ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment. * **Encouraging Self-Help Activities**: You will encourage individuals to engage in self-help activities and promote their independence. * **Accompanying Clients to Appointments**: You will accompany clients to scheduled appointments and provide support as needed. Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications: * **Age Requirement**: You must be at least 18 years of age. * **Valid Driver's License**: You must have a valid driver's license. * **Ability to Work in a Group Home**: You must be able to work in a group home or home-like setting. * **Communication Skills**: You must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, both verbally and in writing. Additional Job Information This is a full-time, part-time, or PRN opportunity with every other weekend off. We offer daily pay, employee assistance programs, and discount programs to our employees.
