We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Full-Time Evening Emergency Shelter Case Aide to join our team, working from Friday to Tuesday during evening hours. Job Overview The FT Evening Emergency Shelter Case Aide position is a full-time role that requires working from Friday to Tuesday, 4pm-12am. As a Case Aide, you will be responsible for providing support and encouragement to adult guests at the emergency shelter, maintaining safety and security standards, and assisting with various tasks as needed. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others, have experience in the behavioral health field, and are looking for a challenging yet rewarding career opportunity. Key Responsibilities Provide emotional support and encouragement to adult guests at the emergency shelter, promoting a sense of community and well-being. Maintain safety and security standards of the Emergency Shelter, ensuring a secure environment for guests and staff. Assist with CPR, First Aid, and Narcan administration as needed, providing critical support in emergency situations. Engage in peer-to-peer employment opportunities in mental health and addiction, promoting a supportive and non-judgmental environment. Participate in a 2-hour shadowing opportunity as part of the interview process, gaining insight into the role and our team's work. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need: CPR Certification, demonstrating your ability to respond to emergency situations. First Aid Certification, providing a foundation in basic first aid and emergency response. 3 years of relevant experience or a peer coach certificate or equivalent, showcasing your expertise in supporting individuals in need. Ability to work full-time hours from Friday to Tuesday, 4pm-12am, requiring flexibility and a commitment to our guests' needs. Nice-to-Haves While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Experience in the behavioral health field, providing a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by our guests. Interest in working with the homeless sub-population, demonstrating a passion for serving this vulnerable group.
