Job Summary
We're seeking experienced Customer Service Agents to work from home and provide top-notch service to our customers. As a Customer Service Agent, you'll be responsible for handling customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing support across various channels. Key Responsibilities
Issue, reissue, and refund traveler tickets
Book, ticket, and confirm flight reservations
Rebook travelers on oversold flights and during irregular operations
Perform traveler check-in and front seat assignment (except curbside), correct oversold seat assignments, and issue updates
Issue vouchers or coordinate with contractors for traveler hotel facilities, meals, and transportation; coordinate refuel and revive
Perform traveler loading, including ticket lift or ticket lift/confirmation
Work door reader/scanner and related duties, including pre-boarding, monitoring/checking carry-on items, and gate line models
Work jetways/spans for purposes of boarding and deplaning travelers
Make boarding and flight door announcements
Convey domestic/international flight records
Perform traveler administration flight close-out procedures
Acknowledge, check, and tag travelers' luggage at destination points, full-service ticket counters, and premium ticket counters
Maintain schedule of flight loading process
Perform client assistance hands-on training
Process and complete Visa luggage exchanges at stands in the ticket counter area and activation stations
Assist travelers with self-service stand check-in and booth items handling at ticket counters
Line lines at ticket counter stands and ticket counters
Clear/confirm international reports at booth in the ticket counter area and activation stations
Acknowledge and initiate travelers' self-labeled bags at activation stations
Assist clients requiring special assistance or in-station; assist boarding, deplaning, and shipping non-ambulatory travelers, special assistance travelers, or unaccompanied minors
Perform client support work related to handling regional flights and contractor/ground handling arrangements or contracts
Have regular and predictable attendance on location, including fulfilling any compulsory overtime requirements
Respond and assist during security and emergency situations
Furnish connecting travelers with gate information
Provide quality client support in a professional manner and according to American's guidelines
Adhere to organization policies, procedures, and performance standards
Complete task-relevant stages of training
Comply with laws and regulations (e.g., Spot, FAA, TSA)
Utilize various internal resources/systems, including during client interactions
Wear uniform as required by organization policy
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Relevant experience in customer service or a related field
Bilingual language skills required in certain areas
Valid driver's license as required by local authorities
Must satisfy FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable
Must be able to obtain proper airport power or U.S. Customs security clearances, if applicable
Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, extensive personal investigation, or fingerprinting to fulfill organization and security requirements
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
Working knowledge of Sabre or other Traveler Administration Systems
Previous experience in customer service, particularly in a high-speed environment
