Experienced Full-Time Customer Service Advocate - National Remote Opportunity in Healthcare Benefits and Insurance Services

About the Role As a Customer Service Advocate at blithequark, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere within the U.S. and be part of a team that's making a real difference in the lives of millions of people. In this role, you'll be the single stop resource for members enrolled in our benefit plans, providing support and guidance across their healthcare lifecycle. You'll work in an inbound/outbound phone role, handling inbound chats and secure messaging, and be responsible for: Listening actively and asking questions to identify specific questions or issues from members regarding medical, vision, dental, pharmacy plan details, plan/program eligibility, and medical claims Using multiple databases, tools, and partnerships to refer and enroll members to appropriate internal specialists and programs based on their needs Interpreting and translating clinical/medical terminology and coding to assist members with managing costs using simple language Adapting to communicated changes in process, policy, and guidelines quickly at site and enterprise level Educating members about the fundamentals of healthcare benefits and plans Assisting members to maximize use of community services, support programs, and resources available Meeting performance goals established for the position in efficiency, call quality, customer satisfaction, first call resolution, schedule adherence, and attendance Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: Essential Qualifications: 1+ year of experience in a customer service environment Must be 18 years of age or older Ability to work Monday - Friday during normal business hours of 8:30am - 5:00pm and 12:30pm - 9:00pm CST, with occasional overtime Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in a customer service environment Part of blithequark Benefit Operations and Experience Experience in a healthcare insurance environment Soft Skills and Competencies We're looking for individuals with: Active listening and negotiation skills Empathy, sensitivity, patience, and resilience Agility and flexibility in adapting to changes Conflict resolution and cultural sensitivity skills Disability and diversity awareness Effective time and resource management Excellent verbal and written communication skills Telecommuting Requirements As a remote worker, you'll need: A dedicated work area that's separated from other living areas and provides information privacy A location that can receive a blithequark-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service The ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable) What We Offer At blithequark, we're committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package and a supportive work environment.
