About the Role As a Staff Software Engineer at arenaflex, you will work on a specific project critical to our needs, with valuable opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-moving business grow and evolve. With your technical expertise, you will manage project requirements, deadlines, and expectations, designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software solutions. Key Responsibilities Perform full stack optimization for High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Machine Learning (ML) performance on arenaflex Cloud Platform's infrastructure, including component optimization, userspace communication libraries (e.g., MPI library, libfabric, NCCL), and customer HPC and ML applications. Develop HPC and ML solutions on arenaflex Cloud Platform. Provide technical leadership and direction for several engineers, guiding them in their projects and ensuring the highest quality of work. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs. Design, develop, and test software applications, ensuring they meet the required standards, are scalable, and perform optimally. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our products and services. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should have: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a focus on data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns. Proven experience in testing, deploying, and maintaining software products, with at least 3 years of experience in software architecture and design. Experience in building and developing large-scale systems, distributed systems, or networks. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly desirable: A Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Experience with C++, device drivers, Linux Bit, and Remote Direct Memory Access. Experience with Linux device drivers, networking stack, and operating system tuning and packaging. Experience with HPC and ML communications, including MPI, collective communication libraries, libfabric, and attachment programming. Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you should possess: Strong programming skills in languages such as C++, Java, or Python. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop creative solutions. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams. Leadership qualities, with the ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
