Job Summary

As an IT Service Engineer at Wayfair, you'll be responsible for providing technical services and support to our Warehouse Operations team. You'll work closely with stakeholders to resolve complex technical issues, implement process improvements, and drive business efficiency. Key Responsibilities


Develop relationships with Warehouse Operations team members by spending time on the warehouse floor to understand their workflows and provide technical support.
Troubleshoot a wide range of technical issues, including Windows server, network connectivity, and warehouse equipment problems.
Prioritize and manage tickets on ServiceNow to ensure timely updates and resolutions for local and remote end clients.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and business teams to resolve high-impact incidents and provide quality data.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts, identifying recurring technical issues and implementing fixes to enhance business efficiency.
Maintain solutions, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Demonstrate accountability and ownership by utilizing a strong work ethic to resolve complex issues end-to-end.
Conduct root cause analysis by asking clarifying questions, gathering relevant data, and resolving issues using a data-driven approach.
Manage and lead technical projects that impact the local site, ensuring successful implementation and adoption.
Be a team player, assisting others in achieving overall team objectives and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Offer support to all-day, every-day fulfillment centers and participate in rotational or on-call shifts as needed.


Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in a computer/IT-related field or equivalent work experience.
2+ years of IT support experience, preferably in a warehouse environment.
2+ years of experience troubleshooting Windows Server and Active Directory issues (Group Policy and Client profiles).
2+ years of experience troubleshooting DNS, DHCP, VoIP, VPN, and Cisco/Aruba networking device issues.
2+ years of experience deploying software images using SCCM.
Experience troubleshooting warehouse equipment, such as RF barcode scanners, label printers, and desktop/PC peripherals.
Strong technical documentation skills and ability to present concise analysis to management.


Preferred Qualifications:


A+, Network+, or other IT industry standard certifications.
Proficiency in scripting languages, such as PowerShell, VBScript, or PHP.
Knowledge of email, FTP, and HTTP troubleshooting.
Experience with IT service management tools, such as ServiceNow.
