About the Role We are looking for an experienced Financial Accounting and Data Integration Specialist to lead cross-functional collaboration and drive key initiatives in our Financial Accounting group. As a senior member of our team, you will have the opportunity to apply your expertise in financial accounting, data analysis, and technical skills to make a significant impact on our business. This role offers a unique blend of financial accounting and data engineering, providing a challenging and rewarding experience for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Lead cross-functional collaboration with various stakeholders, including Technical Accounting, Functional Accounting, Engineering, Product, Finance, Tax, Legal, and other business owners to drive key initiatives and improvements. Develop and design comprehensive accounting data requirements to facilitate the automation of journal entries, ensuring accuracy, completeness, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline revenue tasks and shorten the revenue close cycle. Monitor data quality of journal entries prepared via the Revenue Subledger and design Data Quality checks for identified use cases. Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to continuously improve our daily Revenue Reconciliation process and manage reconciliation investigations. Review new product designs and assess their impact on existing or new accounting requirements for the Revenue Subledger. Perform monthly revenue accounting close responsibilities, including GAAP revenue analysis, cost of revenue analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. Lead special projects and initiatives as assigned. Requirements and Qualifications: Essential Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in revenue accounting, data analysis, and business intelligence. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, and IFRS. Intermediate to advanced SQL skills and ability to work with large volumes of transactional data. Proficiency in Python is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt to changing work environments. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of management and cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Experience with financial planning and analysis, financial modeling, and data visualization. Familiarity with cloud-based financial systems and tools. Certifications in accounting or finance, such as CPA or CMA.
