Our Data Platform team plays a critical role in enabling our business to make data-driven decisions, and we're looking for talented engineers to help us build and maintain our distributed systems. **About the Role** As a Full Stack Distributed Systems Engineer on our Data Platform team, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and operating scalable, high-performance, and highly available distributed systems that support our business-critical applications. You'll work closely with our engineering teams to identify and prioritize projects, design and implement new features, and troubleshoot and resolve issues. **Key Responsibilities** * Design and build scalable, high-performance, and highly available distributed systems using a range of technologies, including Java, Python, and other programming languages * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize projects, design and implement new features, and troubleshoot and resolve issues * Develop and maintain high-quality, well-documented code that meets our engineering standards * Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure the quality and reliability of our systems * Troubleshoot and resolve issues with our distributed systems, working closely with our engineering teams and other stakeholders * Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in distributed systems, and apply this knowledge to improve our systems and processes **Focus Areas** Our Data Platform team is organized into several focus areas, each with its own unique challenges and opportunities. These include: * **Data Set Access Stage**: This team builds and operates an adaptable query interface that supports data explorations at sub-millisecond latencies, while allowing Netflix microservices to more easily store, consume, and manage their data. * **Data Stage Foundation**: This team provides a platform for our own data platforms, using common framework and tooling to enable Netflix to rapidly improve on giving cutting-edge data and analytics frameworks to the rest of the organization. * **Data Development and Handling**: This team offers a self-service cleared way item to empower varied client personas across Netflix meet their low-dormancy data development and handling necessities, while also providing reflection throughout complex Constant structures like Kafka and Flink. * **Big Data Figure**: This team is responsible for giving the cloud-local stage to disseminated information handling at Netflix, including support for Flash, ETL information into the Petabytes-scale information stockroom, and access that information utilizing Flash and Voila/TrinoDB. * **Big Data Arrangement**: This team offers the stage for planning, organizing and executing enormous information occupations and work processes in a self serve way, including essential administrations that have all ETL and ML jobs running on Enormous Information Frameworks at Netflix. **Requirements** * 2+ years of experience in building large-scale distributed systems features or applications * Proficiency in the design and development of Tranquil web services * Experience in building and operating versatile, shortcoming lenient, circulated frameworks * Knowledge of Java or other article arranged programming dialects * Multi-stringing is a test that you are open to handling * BS in Software engineering or a connected field **What We Offer** * Competitive hourly rate of $26/hour * Part-time remote work arrangement * Opportunity to work with a leading edge technology company and contribute to the development of our distributed systems * Collaborative and dynamic work environment * Opportunities for professional growth and development * Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off **How to Apply** If you're a motivated and talented Distributed Systems Engineer looking for a new challenge, please submit your application, including your resume and a cover letter, to [insert contact information].
