Job Summary
As a remote data scientist at Walgreens, you will be responsible for applying advanced data science techniques to drive business insights and inform strategic decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy predictive models, analyze complex data sets, and communicate findings to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
Develop and deploy predictive models using machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques
Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, researchers, software developers, and business leaders to define product requirements and provide analytical support
Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through verbal and written reports
Utilize cloud computing platforms, including Azure and Databricks, to query and analyze large data sets
Develop and maintain large-scale data pipelines and architectures
Apply statistical techniques, including regression, time series analysis, and hypothesis testing
Work with stakeholders to design and execute A/B experiments and measure their impact
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field
At least 4 years of experience in data science, machine learning, or a related field
Advanced experience in SQL, Python, PySpark, or other programming languages
Experience with machine learning algorithms, including supervised and unsupervised learning techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience working with large-scale data sets and developing predictive models
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and prioritize multiple projects and tasks
Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. in a STEM field, computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related field
Experience working with IoT and Edge AI
Experience with reinforcement learning
Experience in the healthcare industry
