We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Analyst to join our team at Disney Music Group as a part-time remote employee. As a key member of our Information and Investigation team, you'll play a vital role in driving business decisions and growth across our music marketing, discovery, and utilization channels.

Job Summary

As a Full Stack Data Analyst, you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement data-driven solutions that drive business growth and improvement. You'll be responsible for extracting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to uncover insights and trends that inform our music marketing and discovery strategies. Your expertise will help us make data-driven decisions, optimize our music offerings, and create new opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities

* Gain, organize, clean, and control large-scale, high-layered data from various sources using tools like PySpark and advanced SQL.
* Build automated, adaptable, repeatable, and integrated analysis involving current large data structures in data ecosystems, such as Databricks, Snowflake, and Google BigQuery.
* Apply refined analysis techniques (data mining, statistical analysis, AI) to identify patterns and reveal opportunities in social data.
* Lead campaign, product, satisfied, and crowd analysis for business needs. Create and track key metrics to measure success.
* Collaborate with Designing and Product teams to complete data projects, contributing to product discovery, design, build, and QA.
* Develop and maintain data visualizations, reports, and dashboards to communicate insights and trends to stakeholders.
* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying new skills and knowledge to drive innovation and improvement.

Essential Qualifications

* 2 years of analytical experience or equivalent blend of education and experience
* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
* Proficiency in using pre-processing tools like PySpark/Python/R and SQL
* Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools
* Strong time management skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment across multiple priorities

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience applying supervised and unsupervised learning methods, such as direct and indirect regression, decision trees, or k-means clustering to determine, validate, and measure outcomes from the data
* Experience reporting data requirements, rules, and assumptions
* Experience data mining in distributed systems like Databricks/Google BigQuery/Snowflake
* Experience controlling large, transactional datasets and deciphering data patterns from different dissimilar data sources
* Passion for music or entertainment industry data!
* Knowledge of music real-time features (Spotify, Apple, Amazon Music, YouTube), social media platforms (TikTok, FB/Instagram), and emerging technologies (digital assistants/voice)
* Graduate degree in a quantitative field, such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
