About the Role We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Analyst to join our team as a Cloud-Based Information Designing and Examination Specialist. As a key member of our Information Designing and Examination group, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data analysis solutions that drive business insights and inform strategic decision-making. You'll work closely with our Innovation team to develop and deploy cloud-based data platforms, data pipelines, and data visualization tools that meet the needs of our business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities As a Full Stack Data Analyst, you'll be responsible for the following key responsibilities: Designing and implementing data analysis solutions that drive business insights and inform strategic decision-making Developing and deploying cloud-based data platforms, data pipelines, and data visualization tools that meet the needs of our business stakeholders Collaborating with our Innovation team to design and implement data-driven solutions that drive business growth and improve customer experiences Working closely with our data engineering team to design and implement data pipelines and data warehousing solutions Developing and maintaining data models, data dictionaries, and data documentation to ensure data quality and consistency Providing data analysis and insights to business stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs Developing and maintaining technical documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and knowledge retention Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need to have the following essential qualifications: 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or related field 3+ years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or related field 3+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms, data pipelines, and data visualization tools 2+ years of experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance Strong understanding of data analysis principles, data visualization techniques, and data storytelling Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or C++ Strong experience with data engineering tools such as Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, or Apache Flink Strong experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js Strong experience with cloud-based platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: 5+ years of experience in data analysis, data engineering, or related field 5+ years of experience with cloud-based data platforms, data pipelines, and data visualization tools 3+ years of experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance Strong experience with machine learning algorithms and natural language processing techniques Strong experience with data governance frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS Strong experience with agile development methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Strong technical skills in data analysis, data engineering, and data visualization Strong experience with cloud-based platforms and data engineering tools Strong experience with data governance frameworks and agile development methodologies Strong ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a Full Stack Data Analyst at American Airlines, you'll have opportunities to grow and develop your skills and career.
