Job Responsibilities
As an Audio and Speech Algorithm Software Engineer at Apple, you will be responsible for developing and implementing audio algorithms for our products. Your key responsibilities will include:
Designing and developing spatial audio rendering algorithms for Apple products
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate audio algorithms into our products
Working with researchers to co-develop signal processing and machine learning technologies for AR/VR applications, object-based media, and rendering content on all Apple products
Developing real-time audio processing software and implementing device learning audio applications
Participating in the development of audio features for Apple products, including Spatial Audio, Siri, FaceTime, media capture, and playback
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
A postgraduate degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering (MS/PhD)
Research experience in spatial audio algorithm development (patents, papers, etc.)
Experience with spatial audio rendering (HRTFs, room simulation, VBAP, Ambisonics, mixing, etc.)
Experience developing real-time audio processing software and implementing device learning audio applications
Fluency in C++, MATLAB, and Python
Working knowledge of physical acoustics and spatial hearing
Working knowledge of deep learning toolkits (TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with common software engineering practices
