Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate ABA/Autism Behavior Technician to join our growing team in Lafayette, CO. As a Behavior Technician, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum, implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and counseling programs established by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Job Responsibilities

As a Behavior Technician with Key Autism Services, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing one-on-one ABA therapy and counseling to children and adolescents on the autism spectrum. Your responsibilities will include:


Providing one-on-one (1:1) in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy
Collecting behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
Conducting discrete trials, implementing behavior support, and treatment plans
Working collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
Being responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
Maintaining professionalism in all aspects of your work
Arriving on time and being prepared for therapy sessions

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following requirements:


High School diploma or GED
Experience working with children for 1 year in a 1:1 setting
1-year ABA experience (or 1-2 years working as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting)
Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
Personal means of transportation with a reliable vehicle
Maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 35lbs
Ability to perform activities that entail fine and gross motor skills, bend, kneel, squat, sitting on floor level or in a chair, or standing for periods of time
Ability to respond quickly in short distances (100 feet) in response to the movements and behaviors of children
Willingness and ability to work in both indoor and outdoor settings
