Job Overview
As a Flight Attendant Trainee with Sun Country Airlines, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our passengers while providing high levels of customer service. This is a critical role that requires a unique blend of skills, including excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities. Key Responsibilities

Ensure the safety, security, and comfort of our customers at all times
Comply with all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and Sun Country Airlines policies
Conduct pre-flight safety checks of the cabin and emergency equipment
Respond effectively in emergency situations, including aircraft evacuations, in-flight fires, and unusual situations
Prepare and serve meals and beverages according to our service standards
Manage emergencies and care for passengers under duress
Diffuse situations with unruly or upset customers and maintain order in the cabin
Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner, complying with all local, state, and federal safety and health regulatory requirements


Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of two years of direct customer service experience
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to read, write, understand, and clearly speak in English
Must be 20 years or older at the start of training
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent dependability and strong work ethic
Ability to remain calm and respond to emergency situations
Able to endure repetitive variances in altitude and cabin pressure
Ability to relocate to within 2 hours of Minneapolis International Airport (MSP) while on reserve (on call) status
Able to be away from home for up to six nights in a row

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job primarily operates in a pressurized aircraft for extended periods, exposing you to loud and distracting sounds, noise levels, and recycled air. You will be required to spend consecutive nights away from home and endure all climates. The physical demands of this role include:

Talking or hearing regularly
Standing, walking, using hands or fingers, handling or feeling, and reaching with hands and arms frequently
Sitting, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling occasionally
Lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
Pushing and pulling carts with weights between 100-250 pounds
Opening and closing the aircraft door in normal/emergency mode


Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, including:

A monthly guarantee of 72.5 flight hours at a rate of pay of $21.53
A $1,000 learning stipend upon successful completion of the training program
Uniforms (note: you will be responsible for the purchase of your first uniform and luggage, approximately $600.00, which may be payroll deducted once employed by the company)
