About the Role and Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to join our Global Merchant and Network Services (GM&NS) Pricing team. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in determining and reporting merchant discount income, driving GMS revenue and profit growth through customer-driven pricing principles, more flexible pricing architecture, and innovative pricing solutions. Your key responsibilities will include:
Creating a Canada figure for merchant discount income and tracking monthly performance against forecast, identifying drivers of change
Developing merchant discount income scorecards for the Canada region
Driving standardization and process improvement among the different regional pricing teams for all reporting and forecasting related activities
Supporting external audits, including investigating issues found, contacting the regional pricing teams that manage the merchant relationship to discuss issues, and managing resolutions
Performing ad-hoc data analysis to assess discount rate trends and uncover insights
Essential Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you will need:
2+ years of experience in financial services or payments industry, and/or other financial roles
A Bachelor's degree required; strongly preferred in Finance/Accounting/Business
High proficiency with Excel is required
Solid attention to detail and organization
Solid analytical skills; demonstrated ability to develop complex financial models and draw value-added insights from a large amount of financial data
Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., SAS/SQL) is required
Excellent communication skills - both written and oral
A strong relationship with stakeholders and collaboration skills with the ability to influence others in situations where there may be multiple objectives
Solid work ethic with an extreme will-to-win, ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, which puts a premium on driving results
An innovative thinker who will challenge conventional approaches to getting things done and develop new ways to approach old challenges
Solid project management skills with full ownership from analysis through to execution
A customer-focused mindset; demonstrated desire to understand and address customer needs and pain points
