Job Summary

As an Epic Education Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing education programs, learning initiatives, and special projects for staff, students, providers, and external customers. You will work closely with Epic Principal Trainers (Education Program Managers) and other stakeholders to ensure that education programs are delivered efficiently and effectively. This is a full-time, salaried position that requires a strong and diverse skillset in relevant areas, including project management, education, and healthcare IT.

Key Responsibilities


Education Program Coordination: Coordinate and implement education programs, learning initiatives, and special projects for staff, students, providers, and external customers, including Epic system training and other healthcare technology education.
Project Management: Support Epic Principal Trainers (Education Program Managers) with components of larger scale and more complex programs, including project planning, coordination, and evaluation.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements using Value by Design (Lean) methodology and implement changes to ensure efficient and effective education program delivery.
Logistics and Organization: Coordinate logistics and organize other aspects of system-wide education programs, including scheduling, materials, and facilities.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that education programs are implemented in compliance with federal, state, and Joint Commission regulations as applicable.
Documentation and Reporting: Ensure that documentation in the Learning Management System (LMS) and other systems is up-to-date and accurate, including tracking and reporting on education program metrics.
LMS Maintenance: May include ongoing coordination and maintenance of a portion of the Learning Management System (LMS), including Helpdesk activities, Skills (Assignment) input and maintenance, building and maintenance of Learning Plans, Epic Training support, and the development of less complex e-learning.


Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications


Epic Systems Experience: Experience working with Epic Systems, including education and training, is highly desirable.
Education and Training: Bachelor's degree in Education, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
Project Management: Experience with project management, including planning, coordination, and evaluation.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to analyze data and identify trends.


Preferred Qualifications


Healthcare Experience: Experience working in healthcare, including education and training.
Lean Methodology: Experience with Lean methodology and process improvement.
LMS Administration: Experience with LMS administration, including configuration and maintenance.
E-learning Development: Experience with e-learning development, including design and implementation.
