Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain highly complex software stacks for our cloud gaming service Work throughout the application pipeline, including hardware-accelerated video/sound/data processing, media encoding/transcoding, and network transport algorithms Optimize both local system performance and overall system performance, including efficient and effective use of Web network Collaborate with engineers across functional groups and have excellent communication skills Take full ownership of projects from conception to production Essential Qualifications Experience creating and optimizing high-performance, real-time applications like games or simulations Solid C or C++ coding skills A strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design patterns Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal direction and thrive in a climate with lots of ambiguity Preferred Qualifications Experience writing SDKs Experience with delivering APIs (e.g., Vulkan, DirectX, Metal, OpenGL) Coding skills in multiple languages (e.g., Go, Python, Rust) Experience with game development Experience analyzing and accelerating graphics workloads Experience working with the Unity or Unreal game engines Experience with automating functional and performance testing Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in software engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
