We are seeking talented and ambitious individuals to join our team of professional Background Investigators. As a Background Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting thorough and comprehensive investigations on behalf of government clients, focusing on national security and suitability investigations. Key Responsibilities


Conducting interviews with applicants, neighbors, coworkers, friends, and associates to gather information and build rapport
Retrieving records and conducting research at law enforcement agencies, courthouses, mental health, financial, and educational institutions
Preparing comprehensive reports of investigation in compliance with federal standards, all laws, and other required federal agency regulations
Compiling information in a clear, concise report that helps determine employment suitability and security clearance eligibility
Meeting quality, timeliness, and production metrics for all work assigned in a rapid, time-sensitive setting
Interacting with team leaders and case review officers to ensure thoroughness of investigations


Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications:

Must successfully complete approved New Investigators Training (7 weeks, 100% paid, including 5 weeks of daily virtual training and 2 weeks of field training)
MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE TS CLEARANCE
Must be at least 18 years of age and a US Citizen
Ability to work remotely and travel with a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and clean driving record
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (relevant years of experience)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to build rapport with new people
Personal computer and business solutions software skills
Ability to synthesize information, identify key findings, and determine conclusions
Ability to identify, understand, and apply federal/state/local regulations/laws regarding investigations


Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications are highly desirable:

Prior experience in investigations, law enforcement, or a related field
Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations regarding investigations
Experience with standardized reporting formats and investigative standards
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
