A Day in the Life of an Animal Care Attendant As an Animal Care Attendant, you will be responsible for: * Providing positive reinforcement training and quality care to our furry clients * Learning about animal behavior, breed characteristics, stages of development, body language, and stress signals * Developing basic dog training skills, such as teaching dogs to sit, wait, and leave it * Leading group play sessions, preparing meals, and replenishing water * Performing regular physical checks, cleaning play areas and equipment, and reporting any unusual behavior, illness, or injuries * Building strong relationships with each pet and tailoring training exercises to meet their individual needs * Maintaining accurate records and producing regular reports Key Responsibilities * Provide exceptional care and attention to our furry clients * Develop and implement positive reinforcement training exercises * Lead group play sessions and ensure the emotional well-being of our dogs * Maintain a clean and safe environment, including play areas and equipment * Collaborate with our team to achieve our goals and objectives * Communicate effectively with clients and team members Qualifications and Requirements To be successful as an Animal Care Attendant, you will need: * At least 18 years old * High school diploma or equivalent * Reliable transportation * Ability to work with pets of all sizes * Ability to lift 40+ lbs. and work in various weather conditions * Basic computer skills * Willingness to work 40+ hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays * Full Covid-19 vaccination Preferred Qualifications * Experience in animal care or a related field * Excellent listening and communication skills * Reliable, self-motivated, and passionate about animal care * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently with others * Patient, calm, and kind demeanor What We Offer * Competitive salary ($13+/hour) * Comprehensive benefits package, including: + Daycare services for your pets + Free boarding for your pets + Bonuses and opportunities for advancement * Online training and professional development opportunities * Fun and dynamic work environment with a passionate team * Opportunities for growth and career advancement Work Schedule This is a full-time position with two available shifts: * Morning shift: 5:45 AM - 1:45 PM * Afternoon shift: 1:15 PM - 9:15 PM Both shifts include rotating weekends.
