**Experienced Elementary Literacy Coach – Remote Education Specialist for K-8 Literacy Development**

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Elementary Literacy Coach to join our team of passionate educators. As a Literacy Coach, you will play a critical role in supporting teachers and students in grades K-8 to develop their literacy skills. You will research and provide teachers with information and guidance on innovative literacy practices, conduct pilots of instructional materials and implementations, and measure the effectiveness of these efforts by monitoring student progress and using performance data to continually adjust and improve upon student literacy. Key Responsibilities Research and provide content knowledge, resources, and guidance regarding a range of effective and innovative literacy practices. Impart knowledge and support teachers through activities such as introducing new teaching strategies, assessment techniques, and results interpretation. Prepare resource materials for use by districts, conduct one-to-one discussions and coaching sessions, demonstrate lessons with pre-and post-discussions analysis, and conduct study groups. Participate in staff meetings and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices in literacy education. Coordinate and facilitate pilots of instructional materials and software implementations. Monitor student progress through K12's interactive lessons and daily assessments. Coordinate and facilitate reading intervention initiatives for students in grades 6-8. Collect and review work samples, grade work as appropriate, and alert administrators to any concerns about student performance and progress. Maintain the confidentiality of school, teachers, and classrooms. Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field of study. Five (5) years of teaching experience. Two (2) years of successful coaching/mentoring experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience. Additionally, you will need to have: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.) Web proficiency. Ability to travel 25% of the time. Ability to clear required background check. Preferred Qualifications We are looking for candidates with a Master's degree in Education, as well as experience working with students in grades K-8. Work Environment This is a home-based position, and you will be working remotely. You will need to have a dedicated workspace and reliable internet connection.
