Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated ESSA Special Programs Instructional Assistant to support our educational team in providing individualized instruction and support to students with diverse needs. As an Instructional Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting licensed teachers in planning and implementing educational programs, including individualized education programs (IEPs). Your expertise and passion for education will help us improve student achievement and create a positive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities

Assist licensed teachers in planning and implementing educational programs, including individualized education programs (IEPs)
Provide individualized support to students with diverse needs, including academic, social, and emotional support
Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and motivation
Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to improve student achievement
Assist with classroom management, organization, and maintenance of a safe and respectful learning environment
Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to ensure student progress and success


Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Ability to meet ESSA requirements, including proficiency in reading, writing, and math
Experience working with students with diverse needs, including special education experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Strong organizational and time management skills


Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following preferred qualifications will make you a stronger candidate:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
Experience working in a Title I funded school or with students from diverse backgrounds
Bilingual or multilingual skills
Experience with individualized education programs (IEPs) and other educational software
First aid and CPR certification
