Job Overview We are excited to offer a $3000 Sign On Bonus for the right candidate to fill the position of Early Childhood Learning Facilitator, based in Tampa, FL. As an Infant Toddler Preschool Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education and care to infants and toddlers in an early head start classroom environment. Your primary objective will be to create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of our young learners. Key Responsibilities Plan, develop, and implement daily lesson plans that provide educational and enrichment activities for infants and toddlers, ensuring compliance with federal performance standards. Design and arrange classrooms into distinctive learning areas that promote an effective learning environment, fostering exploration and discovery. Screen and assess infant and toddler-aged children to determine developmental/educational needs, developing and implementing individual education plans tailored to their unique requirements. Monitor meal and snack periods, classroom and restroom activities, and playground activities to ensure a safe and healthy environment for infants and toddlers. Document children's progress, completing all required manual and computerized forms and reports, and maintaining accurate records of their development. Initiate referrals to the appropriate Head Start Teacher, submitting required paperwork and collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless support for our children. Use active supervision techniques, maintaining positive classroom behavior and ensuring the well-being of all children in our care. Develop positive caregiver relationships with children, providing emotional support and guidance as needed. Maintain a comprehensive and ongoing portfolio assessment for each child, including weekly observations, examples of their work, and developmental assessments. Plan classroom activities for parent and community volunteers, fostering a sense of community and promoting partnerships with families. Communicate with parents through conferences, written correspondence, telephone calls, and home visits, keeping them informed of their child's progress and involving them in their education. Essential Qualifications High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, with a National Child Development Associate Credential (CDA) or Florida Child Care Professional Certificate (FCCPC) for Pre-school or Infant/Toddler Endorsement. One year of experience in teaching Head Start, Early Head Start, pre-school, or kindergarten-aged children, with a strong understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for infant/toddler education. Physical ability to lift at least 45 lbs. and provide physical assistance in the transportation of special needs children, with reasonable accommodation made for otherwise qualified persons with disabilities. Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of behavior modification theories and practices relating to infant/toddler development, with the ability to resolve conflicts between toddler-aged children. Ability to plan, organize, and implement infant/toddler education curriculums, with a strong understanding of current educational techniques and practices. Ability to assume a seated position on the floor for extended periods, with the capacity to prepare and maintain work-related reports and files. Ability to handle confidential information, administer CPR and First Aid, and implement safety procedures, ensuring the well-being of all children in our care.
