Job Overview As a member of the Maintenance team, you will be responsible for repairs and preventive maintenance on Distribution Center equipment and the facility. This role will utilize an Electronic Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to perform work in an efficient and effective manner. Your attention to detail and focus on safety will be crucial in this position. Key Responsibilities Maintain, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on material handling and building equipment in a safe and efficient manner. Apply established PM and repair policies and procedures to return equipment to fully functional status. Read and comprehend technical drawings (e.g., diagrams, electronic/mechanical schematics) to repair/maintain equipment. Investigate complex issues with equipment where the maintenance isn't immediately apparent or obvious. Act as a team member with operations and other professionals to support the facility in the maintenance and upkeep of equipment. Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to understand responsibility and record actions (e.g., workorders, asset/work history, inventory usage). Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing (e.g., customers, suppliers, associates). Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, moving equipment, and other powered equipment. Perform daily preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g., lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulic equipment, dock equipment, banana room equipment, electronic and electrical equipment, etc.) according to procedures. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. You should have a strong and diverse skill set in areas such as maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of material handling and building equipment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are also essential, as you will be working closely with other professionals to support the facility. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment. Knowledge of Electronic Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and other maintenance software. Ability to read and comprehend technical drawings and diagrams. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate complex issues and develop effective solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with others.
