Experienced Dispatcher

We are an owner-operator business based in the Philadelphia region seeking an experienced independent Dispatcher to help grow our cargo van transportation operation. We currently operate a 2018 Mercedes Sprinter cargo van and are looking for a dispatcher who can secure profitable loads, negotiate strong rates, and help us expand routes and carrier relationships. Responsibilities • Book daily and weekly cargo-van loads (local and regional) • Build relationships with brokers and shippers • Negotiate competitive rates and secure high-quality loads • Communicate effectively about pickups, delivery times, routing, and freight information • Manage dispatching, paperwork, and load confirmations • Help increase profitability and trip consistency Requirements • Prior experience dispatching for cargo vans, Sprinter vans, box trucks, or expedited freight • Knowledge of freight platforms and load boards • Professional and responsive communication • Understanding of transportation regulations and 1099/contracted drivers • Able to work independently and help scale operations Preferred Experience • Dispatching small fleets or owner-operators • Philadelphia, Northeast, or Mid-Atlantic freight routes • Broker negotiation and logistics support About Us We are a motivated owner-operator looking to increase contracts, grow revenue, and establish reliable dispatch support. Compensation Negotiable percentage per load or flat-rate arrangement depending on experience and performance.
