We're now seeking an exceptional Database Architect to join our team on a remote basis, playing a pivotal role in shaping our data management and analytics capabilities. About the Role As our ideal Database Architect, you'll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data architecture, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our organization. Your expertise will be instrumental in analyzing complex datasets, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights that inform strategic decisions. You'll work closely with various stakeholders, including managers and users, to gather requirements, provide updates, and build strong relationships. Key Responsibilities Analyze complex datasets to identify trends and opportunities for growth, and develop source-to-target mappings and information-model specification documents. Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization, and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data. Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, fraud, and inaccuracies, and develop strategies for improvement. Conduct Automated Privacy Risk Assessments on Data Assets and implement measures to mitigate identified risks. Maintain best practices regarding information security, integrity, and access, ensuring the highest level of data quality and integrity. Transform data sets into reports and visualizations, providing clear and intuitive insights into complex data. Design and develop data visualizations and dashboards using data sets from various sources, creating user-friendly interfaces for different teams and stakeholders. Write and test analytics platform code, leveraging your expertise in AWS tools and services. Perform ongoing maintenance tasks, including fixing bugs, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) of failures, and collecting and maintaining data for analysis reports. Producing ad-hoc reports for colleagues as needed, and creating and maintaining tables/queries in our database. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A strong background in database architecture, with experience in designing and implementing data management systems. Proficiency in data analysis, mining, and visualization, with the ability to extract insights from complex datasets. Experience with AWS tools and services, including analytics platforms and data storage solutions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders. A strong understanding of information security, integrity, and access controls, with a commitment to maintaining best practices. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications will be considered a plus: Experience with data governance, data quality, and data management principles. Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and architectures. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and version control systems. Certifications in relevant areas, such as data architecture, data science, or cloud computing.
