Job Summary As a Database Analyst at blithequark, you will be responsible for supporting database operations, troubleshooting common DB issues, and performing disaster recovery tasks. You will also participate in regular DB maintenance activities, including file maintenance, backups, and SQL server patching. Your expertise in DB estimating and performance tuning practices will be essential in ensuring optimal database performance. Key Responsibilities: Investigate and resolve common DB issues and perform disaster recovery tasks Perform regular DB maintenance activities, including: File maintenance Backups (full, differential, and log backups) SQL job scheduling and monitoring SQL Server patching Apply DB estimating and performance tuning practices to ensure optimal database performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet application development requirements Provide support for various SQL database conditions of low to moderate complexity Develop and maintain expertise in SQL DB solutions Requirements Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline Equivalent education and work experience also considered Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Experience with: SQL database management DB maintenance activities Disaster recovery tasks Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS SQL technologies Proficiency in developing PowerShell scripts Experience with SQL AOG and DB Mirroring What We Offer Career Growth Opportunities: At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
