Key Responsibilities
Investigate and resolve common DB issues and perform disaster recovery tasks
Perform routine DB maintenance activities, including file maintenance, backups (full, differential, and log backups), and monitoring SQL jobs
Apply knowledge of DB sizing and performance tuning practices to optimize database performance
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet database activity requirements
Develop and maintain technical documentation related to database administration
Provide exceptional written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent in education and work experience
Ability to investigate and resolve common DB issues and perform disaster recovery tasks
Experience with performing routine DB maintenance activities, including file maintenance, backups, and monitoring SQL jobs
Knowledge of DB sizing and performance tuning practices
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS SQL Technology
Ability to develop Powershell scripts
Experience with SQL AOG and DB Mirroring
Previous experience working in a remote environment
