About the Role As an Amazon Online Opinion Sharing and Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for gathering and discussing requirements from business partners, building new data ingestions using a combination of native AWS services and internal Amazon tools, and maintaining existing data ingestions to ensure they meet evolving standards and corporate mandates. You will also develop and improve systems and tools for internal and external partner use, perform code reviews, and ensure best practices are followed for ETL and data cleanliness. Key Responsibilities Gather and discuss requirements from business partners across various verticals, including Memberships, Deals, Reverse Logistics, Finance, Product, and more. Build new data ingestions using a combination of native AWS services and internal Amazon tools. Maintain and improve existing data ingestions to ensure they meet evolving standards and corporate mandates. Develop and improve systems and tools for internal and external partner use to manage data. Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are followed for ETL and data cleanliness by colleagues and supporting teams. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you should have: 3+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Proficiency in SQL and experience with data querying and analysis. A strong understanding of data principles and practices, with the ability to apply them in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following skills and experience will give you a competitive edge: Experience with AWS technologies, including Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions. Proficiency in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS. Experience with non-relational databases/data stores, including object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, and column-family databases.
