About the Role As a Data Scientist at blithequark, you will be an integral part of our data analysis team, providing quantitative analysis, market expertise, and a strategic perspective to our partners across the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to act as an analytics expert, utilizing numbers to help stakeholders make informed decisions. You will craft compelling stories with meaningful insights derived from complex data sets and develop key recommendations for our product management and engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-depth data analysis to inform business or product decisions, including cost-benefit analysis, investment strip analysis, forecasting, and influence analysis. Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to various levels of stakeholders, creating visually engaging representations of quantitative data. Develop and automate reports, iteratively build and model dashboards to provide insights at scale, addressing analytical needs. Collaborate with cross-functional partners to understand their business needs, identify, and complete analyses that encompass data collection, examination, ongoing scaled predictions, and presentations. Assist blithequark in focusing on key decisions to improve products and services, driving business growth and innovation. Essential Qualifications Pursuing a graduate degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Sciences). Experience working with statistical packages (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, MATLAB). Experience articulating product questions, pulling data from datasets (SQL), and utilizing statistics to arrive at a response. Preferred Qualifications Currently enrolled in a part-time program in the US and available to work full-time for several months beyond the college term time. In their penultimate academic year or returning to a part-time program after completing the internship. Ability to translate analysis results into business recommendations. Interest and capacity to work with data, statistics, analysis, and trends, and applied knowledge of measurement, statistics, and program evaluation. Excellent problem-solving and written/verbal communication skills, with outstanding business judgment.
