Job Overview As a Data Scientist at blithequark, you will play a critical role in establishing a data-driven product development culture. You will work closely with our product development team to define and track key metrics, design and execute A/B tests, and develop dashboards and reports to inform product decisions. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping us understand the impact of model and UX changes on our products and driving growth through data-informed decision making. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the product development team as a trusted partner to identify opportunities for improvement and drive growth through data-driven insights. Design and interpret A/B tests to answer critical questions about the impact of model and UX changes on our products. Establish a data-driven product development culture by leading the definition, tracking, and operationalization of feature, product, and company-level metrics. Develop and socialize dashboards, reports, and other tools to enable the team and company to answer product data questions in a self-serve way. Qualifications and Experience To succeed in this role, you should have: 5+ years of experience in a quantitative role exploring highly ambiguous conditions, preferably as a founding data scientist or product analyst at a hyper-growth product company or research organization. Proven experience proposing, designing, and running comprehensive tests with clear insights and product recommendations using SQL and Python. Experience defining, implementing, and operationalizing new feature and product-level metrics from scratch. Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate with product managers, engineers, and executives alike. Key insights beyond the paradigm of statistical significance testing. Preferred Qualifications You could be a particularly strong fit if you have: Demonstrated relevant experience in NLP, large language models, or generative AI. A strong programming background, with the ability to run simulations and model variations. Experience validating quantitative insights with qualitative methods (e.g., surveys, UXR).
