Amazon, a multinational technology and e-commerce giant, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Scientist, Analytics to join its team in Louisiana. As an Information Researcher in the Insights team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and decision-making by analyzing complex data and providing actionable insights to various stakeholders.

About the Role

As a Data Scientist, Analytics, you will be responsible for providing data analysis and support to platform, service, and functional engineering teams at Twitch, shaping how success is measured. You will define what questions should be asked and scale analytics methods and tools to support our growing business. Additionally, you will help support the vision for business analytics, solutions architecture for data-related business developments, and strategic execution, such as research analysis and mission execution reporting.

Key Responsibilities


Work with members of Platforms and Services to guide them towards better decision-making from available data.
Advance data and insights through managing communications with partners and various teams, collaborate with stakeholders to complete data projects, and ensure all parties can utilize the insights to drive business forward.
Maintain a customer-driven focus while being a domain and product expert through data, foster trust among peers, and ensure that teams and projects have access to data to inform decisions.
Manage ambiguous issues and adapt tools to address complex questions.
Identify trade-offs between speed and quality of various approaches.
Create logical frameworks to measure team success by collaborating with teams to establish progress metrics, develop approaches to track data and analyze errors, measure and evaluate data to develop a common language for all stakeholders to understand these metrics.
Operationalize data processes to provide partners with ad-hoc analysis, automated dashboards, and self-service reporting tools so everyone gets a clear view of the state of the business.


Essential Qualifications


3+ years of domain expertise in a consumer web business, or in a high-speed, high-growth product or team.
Mastery of SQL skills and proficiency in Python/R.
Experience using data to create understanding and drive business results.
Familiarity with data analysis and communication around data, including time series analysis, experimentation, data visualization, and defining the KPI strategy for your business.
Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to maintain relationships.
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.


Preferred Qualifications


Passion for online communities, gaming, and Twitch.
Experience in Operational Excellence, defining metrics and analysis reporting.
Experience working with software development and operational event data.
Experience with machine learning techniques, such as logistic regression, decision trees, and neural networks.
