About This Opportunity

We are currently seeking a skilled Data Entry Specialist to support our operations in the Charlotte, North Carolina area. This position offers flexibility with hybrid work arrangements, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively. You can choose to work directly at our client's office, embrace a hybrid schedule with both remote and in-office days, or opt for a fully in-office arrangement—whichever best suits your lifestyle and preferences.

This is a contract position lasting approximately 3-4 months, with the strong possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent role for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities

As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of critical business information. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:


Data Input & Management: Efficiently enter and load client employee payroll information, personal employee details, and other essential data into internal and external systems with speed and precision.
Payroll Processing Support: Ensure timely and accurate data entry to enable seamless payroll processing for our clients, maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.
Information Updates: Systematically update client and company-level information, including delivery addresses, contact details, and account modifications to preserve accurate records.
Tax Compliance: Input State Unemployment Insurance rate changes accurately to maintain the integrity of client tax records and ensure regulatory compliance.
Quality Assurance: Review entered data for errors, inconsistencies, or duplicates, implementing corrective measures to maintain data integrity.
System Navigation: Utilize various internal and external databases and software platforms to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
Communication: Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve data discrepancies and address any arising issues promptly.
Documentation: Maintain organized records and follow established protocols for data handling and confidentiality.


Essential Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:


Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of professional data entry experience is mandatory.
Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to navigate spreadsheets, enter data, and perform simple calculations.
Computer Literacy: Strong general computer skills with the ability to learn new software systems quickly.
Typing Speed: Competent typing skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
Reliability: Must be able to commute reliably to the Charlotte, NC area (14620) or be willing to relocate before starting work.


Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications will strengthen your application:


Prior experience in payroll data entry or HR-related administrative roles
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis features
Familiarity with state unemployment insurance processes and tax-related data entry
