About the Role The Data Entry Professional will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of our data. This will involve entering and verifying work-related information using computers and point of sale systems, as well as maintaining confidentiality and adhering to blithequark's policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will be a team player who is able to work effectively with others to support team goals and enhance organizational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Transmit information or documents using a computer, following established protocols and procedures. Read and visually verify information in various formats for accuracy and completeness, identifying and correcting errors as needed. Enter and retrieve information from computer databases to update records and answer inquiries, providing excellent customer service to internal stakeholders. Verify information in documents or on computer screens for accuracy, ensuring that all data is accurate and up-to-date. Operate standard office equipment such as telephones, fax machines, and photocopiers, maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect blithequark's assets, adhering to all company policies and procedures. Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, ensuring that all communications are professional and effective. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, contributing to a positive and productive team culture. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, identifying and recommending new ways to increase organizational efficiency and productivity. Follow all blithequark safety and security policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications: Ability to enter and retrieve information accurately using a keyboard, mouse, or trackball, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Proficiency in operating standard office equipment, including computers, telephones, fax machines, and photocopiers. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, with the ability to identify and correct errors. Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner. Nice-to-Haves While not essential, the following skills and qualifications would be an asset in this role: Experience in a similar administrative role, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency in data entry. Familiarity with point of sale systems, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
