Dental Billing & Insurance Specialist

High Volume, Professional Oral Surgery Office has an opening for a Billing & Insurance Specialist. We are looking for a candidate with previous dental billing experience. This is a full-time position and must have tremendous phone skills and a great attitude. We want people to see you smile both in person and over the telephone! We have multiple offices throughout the Tampa Bay area. Duties are to include (but not limited to): • Posting insurance and patient payments including: electronic, check, and credit card payments • Process denials: contact insurance companies regarding delayed payments and missing information • Strong ability to audit accounts to determine patient vs. insurance balances • Accurately post all insurance payments received by the end of the following day • Creating daily bank deposits of all collections (cash, credit cards, EFTs, personal checks, and insurance checks) • Answering phone calls or emails from patients that have any questions Our ideal candidate must possess the following: • Knowledge of dental EOB and terminology • Excellent computer skills • Strong accounting skills • Knowledge and experience with dental insurance • Ability to perform frequent repetitive work with attention to detail • Must be comfortable in making effective and friendly collection calls • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and work as part of a large team • Ability to demonstrate initiative, dependability, and promptness You must be professional in appearance and attitude.
